We’re thrilled to premiere the brand new video clip from Australian guitarist, singer, and songwriter Robbie Bostock.

Known for his fiery playing and blend of country and blues-rock, Robbie has carved out a reputation as one of the country’s most versatile guitarists. From international tours to sold-out shows across Australia as co-lead guitarist for Lee Kernaghan, Robbie has brought his playing to some of the biggest stages in the country and beyond. Now, he’s putting the spotlight on his original music.
The New Clip
Filmed by Nigel Jones at NKJ Studio, the Chillagoe Breakdown video captures the raw spirit and swagger of Robbie’s fiery country guitar work. Interwoven throughout is never-before-seen Super 8 film of the Chillagoe Rodeo in 1972, captured by Robbie’s father Joe. Grainy, authentic, and steeped in history, the vintage footage adds a powerful emotional layer, grounding the track in the rugged heartland of Australia.
“Having Dad’s footage in this clip makes it special for me.” Robbie shares. “My dad was a real adventurer and as a kid he would tell me vivid stories of action and excitement. It’s also my way of paying tribute to the rugged Australian heartland and the rodeo riders and locals whose grit and resilience define it.”
With its dust-soaked imagery, sweeping cinematic style, and deeply personal story, the Chillagoe Breakdown video is a celebration of heritage, landscape, and the timeless voice of Australia.
We’re proud to host the premiere of Robbie’s latest video clip right here on Aussie Wave. Check it out below and let us know what you think!
