The Wanted Gems Shine with New Single So, Thank You and Upcoming Darwin Headline Show

Alice Springs-based twin duo The Wanted Gems are continuing their rise in Australia’s indie-folk/dream-pop scene with the release of their latest single So, Thank You. Renowned for their angelic harmonies and blend of folk warmth with dream-pop textures, sisters Madison and Micaela Hull once again prove why they’re among the Northern Territory’s most captivating emerging artists.

Premiering on Triple J’s Home & Hosed and spotlighted in Unearthed’s Best New Music, So, Thank You has already struck a chord with audiences nationwide. Driven by layered harmonies, sparkling production touches and a chorus that lingers long after the final note, the track is both a love letter to “the little things” someone does and a heartfelt anthem of appreciation. It’s a striking reminder of the duo’s gift for creating songs that feel both intimate and universal.

The single caps off a landmark year: opening for Guy Sebastian at the Darwin Festival in August, touring North Queensland with Pacific Avenue in September, and now gearing up for their first headline show at the Darwin Railway Club on Friday, October 3rd, where they’ll be joined by their full six-piece band. The following night, they’ll also appear at the Listen Up Songwriting Prize semi-finals on October 4th sharing the stage with some of the NT’s most exciting talents.

The Wanted Gems are identical twin sisters Madison and Micaela Hull, an award-winning duo originally from Denver, Colorado, who grew up and are now based in Alice Springs/Mparntwe, Australia. Known for their angelic harmonies, heartfelt songwriting and ukulele-driven sound, they weave indie-folk storytelling with dream-pop textures that captivate audiences.

Since their debut single Away With Me in 2023, The Wanted Gems have quickly become one of the NT’s most exciting acts. Their breakout 2024 single Trusted You won People’s Choice Song of the Year at the NT Music Awards and earned them recognition as Triple J Unearthed Feature Artists. In 2025, the sisters went on to sweep three NT Music Award categories, taking home Pop (Detaching), Folk (Lovely Distraction), and Youth (Lovely Distraction).

Performing alongside their band, The Wanted Gems have supported Guy Sebastian, The Dreggs, and Pacific Avenue, while bringing their evocative music to festivals and stages across the Top End, North Queensland and the Red Centre.
